Our Target Travels chauffeur guide will pick you up at 6:30am from your hotel in either Colombo or Negombo and leave for Kandy. En route stop at a Pineapple garden which is fascinating to discover the agricultural processor of this popular tropical fruit. After this proceed to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, which is the largest of its kind in the world. We have to schedule to be there before 9:15am where you can enjoy watching the elephants being marched along the narrow streets in Pinnawela to the nearby river for their daily bath time followed by the feeding time of the Baby Elephants. If you are interested you can sponsor a bottle of milk for the day and feed it yourself. After our visit at Pinnawala we proceed to the Elephant riding place. Here you can decide to take a ride on an Elephant through the jungle (Optional). After our visit at the Elephant riding place we proceed for our Kandy Tour. Kandy is Sri Lanka’s last royal kingdom and is today a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will visit a spice and herbal garden, the Peradeniya Royal Botanical garden, make a visit to the Kandy Temple Dalada Maligawa Temple of the Tooth , we visit the gem museum, see a Batic factory, Silk factory and on the way back we will visit a tea factory.
