Aventra Travels (Pvt) Ltd representative will pick you up at 6:00 am from your hotel in either Negombo or Colombo. We travel to Galle the first stop is at Kosgoda where we will visit the Turtle Hatchery Farm. Thereafter we travel to Galle. Galle was the main trade port during the Dutch and Portuguese rule in Sri Lanka. The fort is by far the largest in the island and is the best preserved. The city is a perfect example of a fortified city built by Europeans in south and Southeast Asia, depicting the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. The Galle fort is a UNESCO world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. When we arrive in Galle we will enjoy a sightseeing tour around the city. We will visit the Dutch fort, the Galle Museum, the old Dutch church and the British church, and more. We later travel to see the stick Fishermen sit on sticks while fishing in the traditional way (This is seasonal and depends on your luck!). We travel to Hikkaduwa, the popular beach destination of Sri Lanka. It is a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka located in the Southern Province, about 20 km north-west of Galle. This stretch of beach is awarded as one of the most scenic beach stripes in the world. We will enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride to enjoy the amazing coral and reef formation in the region. Optional: Enjoy snorkeling in the area which is the best way to see the coral formation. Proceed to Madu Ganga in Balapitiya where we will enjoy a scenic river cruise along the backwaters of Sri Lanka. The waterways and region is renowned for the 68 islands in its mids. We will then travel via Bentota back to Colombo.
